Saw that trailer when i was watching Iron Man 2, which is a terrible movie by the way.

Pretty gutsy move to have an asian guy kiss a white lead; i think they will gloss over this as just an inference as opposed to a full make out scene. The movie looks ridiculous based on the trailer; a bunch of Aussie teenagers fighting against a world invasion???Hi Ginya wrote:

Yes, quite a nice Aussie movie based on what i have heard. I wouldn't watch it being about ballet and all though. Give me blood and guts anyday.

Bridge to the Sun, which was based on the true story of the life of Gwendolen Terasaki. It's an older movie, made in 1961. Groundbreaking for several reasons...this was back when Asians were still being played by white actors or cast in small, unimportant/subservient roles, or forced to portray a character that was basically an exaggerated, comedic stereotype. The relationship is very realistic and one that I hope I can find someday. For example, when all the Japanese in America are deported, Gwen chooses to go with her husband back to Japan and face a life of poverty, predujice, and being hated by almost everyone around her rather than stay in America. I loved every minute of this movie! What sucks is that it has never been released on video. I can't find it anywhere. I caught it by chance on television a few years ago.

I just watched "Mega-Shark vs Giant Octopus" because someone Hayley (^above me) said there was a little bit at the end (and I'd wanted to see it anyway) but wow there was A LOT more than that XD

American HGTV has a lot of gay people but it's really rare to see an AM. I remember getting really mad once because there was a guy who was half-Japanese half-White (Irish?) (his parents were AMWF couple!) and he was from Japan but he looked completely white and seemed really 'white-washed'. XD

It's about a white american woman who's married to a korean american man and their trouble conceiving a child. She starts sleeping with a korean immigrant in the hopes she gets pregnant and can save her marriage. Really really good movie imo.

This movie was fantastic. It's very dramatic, slightly depressing, cerebral, thought-provoking, and tragic. If you can handle that, then stream this now imo.
